The 21st ranked Massachusetts Minutemen are making some noise. Led by Chaz Williams (pictured) and Cady Lalanne, the Minutemen have posted a 8-0 record including defeating BYU today by a score of 105-96. Prior to the victory over BYU, the Minutemen won the Charleston Classic championship, knocking off the likes of Nebraska, New Mexico (19th ranked at the time), and Clemson in the title game.
The high powered Minutemen have five players averaging double-figures with Cady Lalanne leading the pack at 16.4 point per game. Lalanne also leads the team in rebounds, averaging 11.4 a game. However, and perhaps the captain of the team, Chaz Williams is averaging 15.4 points per game while dishing out a team high 6.6 assists per game.
It’s only a matter of time before the Minutemen get the National exposure they deserve. They are every bit the part of a Cinderella squad this year, and mark my words…come March, the Minutemen will not only be dancing, but will make a run in the NCAA tournament!
