It’s been 2007 since the George Washington Colonials won the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament (pictured). Seven years later though, the Colonials are shaping up to be a contender to reclaim that glory.

The Colonials are 9-1, and currently are riding on a 4 game winning streak. A winning streak that includes several resume helpers such as Creighton, Maryland and Boston University.

The Colonials are led by a steady diet of team play as five players average 9.2 points or more, and six players average 3.5 or more rebounds. As a team, the Colonials are shooting at a clip of .470%. At the free throw line, a pretty good .707% and from down town, an impressive .426%.

Looking at the schedule, the Colonials should roll all the way until there conference games begin. If they do so, don’t be surprised if they become ranked during the stretch. The Colonials are certainly a sleeper and another team to watch in what’s shaping to be an exciting Atlantic 10 Conference.
