The TCU Horned Frogs are usually noted for being powerhouses in College Football, however, the Men’s Basketball team is making some early noise with an impressive 10-0 start. Led by senior guard Kyan Anderson, the Horned Frogs feature a plethora of stat sheet stuffers, including eight players that average more than five points per game. If there’s anything to critique, it’s the .624% free throw shooting, which really isn’t all that bad in college basketball.
When diving into this fast start, it can be noted that it’s been aided by a so-so schedule. However, wins against Mississippi State and a road win against Mississippi certainly are resume worthy. When looking forward, the Horned Frogs should win the next three games, which will setup their toughest game to date against the West Virginia Mountaineers. This game would also mark the beginning of conference play, one in which features several top notch schools like Kansas, Texas, Iowa State, Oklahoma, the aforementioned West Virginia, etc… Certainly, the verdict about the Horned Frogs will be made during conference play, one in which could include solid resume wins.
Don’t be surprised to see the TCU Horned Frogs ranked soon, especially if they win there next three games. But, as previously mentioned, the verdict lies within conference play.
