As we draw closer to March Madness, I can’t help but to analyze each conference for teams either worth an At-large bid or one whom is on the bubble. Here, I examine the Big 12 Conference, which according to KenPom is the best conference. Expect the most teams to come out of the Big 12 Conference and probably the future winner of the NCAA tournament to be honest.

Best Teams: Kansas Jayhawks, Oklahoma Sooners, West Virginia Mountaineers, Baylor Bears, Iowa St. Cyclones, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Texas Longhorns

At-large: Kansas Jayhawks, Oklahoma Sooners, West Virginia Mountaineers, Baylor Bears, Iowa St. Cyclones, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Texas Longhorns

On The Bubble:

Note: I have no doubt in my mind that we will at the very least see six to seven teams out of the Big 12 Conference. This is by far the best conference in the Division I basketball and I also believe that it’s likely the future winner of the NCAA tournament will come out of here (Kansas Jayhawks?). I think it was certain that the Kansas Jayhawks, Oklahoma Sooners, West Virginia Mountaineers, Baylors Bears and Iowa St. Cyclones were locks since mid-season. However, the Texas Longhorns and Texas Tech Red Raiders have both enjoyed late success within conference, which has helped tremendously boost them in the At-large territory in my mind. I guess we’ll just have to wait till Selection Sunday to find out if I’m right…
